A Hedge Trimmer Designed for Precise, Regular Pruning in Fruit Orchards
For what uses and for which professions?
The Cosmos 300 is aimed primarily at arboriculturists, winegrowers and fruit hedge growers, but also at farmers and specialist landscapers. It has been designed for orchard maintenance, where regular pruning is essential to guarantee the quality and quantity of harvests. In apple, pear, peach and kiwi orchards, pruning is a key stage in promoting light, ventilation and healthy trees. The Cosmos 300 makes it possible to maintain uniform shapes, avoid cluttering up the branches and limit the need for manual intervention, which is often time-consuming and painful.
With a cutting length of up to 4.90 m, a cutting capacity of up to 20 cm, and a forward speed for green pruning reaching 5 km/h, this machine perfectly meets the needs of professionals seeking improved efficiency and working comfort. Whether maintaining young plantations or reshaping older fruit hedges, the Cosmos 300 delivers clean, precise cuts without tearing. It can be easily mounted on a wide range of carriers including tractors, front loaders, and telehandlers—making it simple to integrate into existing farm setups.

Advantages of the Cosmos 300 Cutter Bar
The Cosmos 300 stands out for its versatility and robustness. It can be fitted with 4 to 9 saw blades or flail decks, depending on the type of vegetation and the work required. The 10-groove Poly Vé belt drive ensures excellent reliability and optimum output, even on long working days. The 70 cm hydraulic start allows you to adjust the working position to suit different hedge heights and widths.
Available options include an additional horizontal cutter bar, which reduces the number of passes required in the rows, and a specific 3 m cutting bar for the Cosmos 300L model. A function selector for controlling the hydraulic cylinders and a dual-pump hydraulic power unit further enhance adaptability, allowing the machine to be configured for any job site. Hydraulic power supplied by the carrier machine and a three-point front linkage ensure quick and straightforward installation. These features help professionals reduce physical strain, improve productivity, and achieve uniform cuts that respect both trees and hedges.
