Designed for arboriculturists working in trellised, high-density or net-protected orchards, the Cosmos 350 is a double-blade tree pruner designed to optimise working time and guarantee a regular cut, particularly for nectarine cultivation.
Thanks to its adaptable design, it is equally suited to fruit hedges and larger trees. It's a particularly popular solution in apple, pear and kiwi orchards, where it reduces the number of passes required, ensures a clean cut and can be used quickly, even during busy periods. It is also particularly recommended for green pruning.
With its customizable configuration and multiple options such as retracting systems, net-overpass capabilities, or tilting mounts—the Cosmos 350 can be tailored to various orchard types. This flexibility makes it perfectly suited for intensive use, whether during the growing season or for regular maintenance. Front mounting on the tractor ensures optimal visibility for the operator, making work easier in tight or cluttered spaces.
Key Advantages of the Cosmos 350
This multi-bed model boasts a series of concrete advantages that make all the difference in the field. First and foremost, the possibility of configuring the height to suit individual requirements means that the tool is perfectly suited to each farm. The Cosmos 350 is also compatible with a tilt mount (optional) and can be fitted with 3 to 8 saw blades, giving a cutting capacity of up to 160 mm with the saw and 25 mm with the knife decks.
Powered by a self-contained hydraulic unit, it can be fitted to a variety of tractors without any flow constraints. Another advantage: its 5-groove Poly-V transmission system ensures reliable, constant power, even in difficult conditions. Biodegradable oil is fitted as standard, so there's no need to change the oil for the life of the equipment. The cab-mounted control box is ergonomically designed for fast, precise control. It is mounted at the front of the tractor, offering optimum visibility for precise work, and its retractable system avoids bumping into posts or structures in the orchard.
It can also be equipped with an optional net-overpass system to accommodate the dimensions of netted orchards. Finally, a dedicated support stand is included for convenient storage after the pruning season.
