Coup'Eco equipment is compatible with the majority of tractors and spreaders, such as those made by John Deere, New Holland, Claas, Fendt, Rousseau and Ferri, among others.
However, depending on the model of carrier, adaptations may be necessary:
-Specific mounting brackets,
-Suitable hydraulic hoses,
-Sufficient hydraulic flow
To check compatibility with your equipment simply contact us, specifying the model of your carrier. We will guide you towards the most suitable solution.
Certainly, as a designer and manufacturer, we are capable of adapting our equipment to specific needs. Tell us about your project!

Coup’Eco has over 30 years of experience in the design and manufacture of machines, pruning tools, and maintenance equipment for green spaces, agriculture, and communities.
Choosing Coup’Eco means supporting a recognized French manufacturer, a pioneer in its field, which combines technical expertise with personalized support.
Our machines are designed to be robust and durable, suitable for all types of terrain, compatible with different carriers, and cost-effective thanks to an excellent return on investment. By choosing Coup’Eco, you are opting for performance and reliability.
- Time-saving: this type of equipment allows you to handle several kilometers of hedges or borders in a single day, much faster than manual trimming.
- Less fatigue: as the operations are fully mechanized, the physical effort required from the operators is greatly reduced.
- Increased safety: pruning is done remotely, often from the tractor cabin, thus limiting the risks associated with falling branches or contact with the blades.
Profitability: it is a long-term investment that reduces labor needs and decreases the frequency of interventions.
The choice mainly depends on the type of vegetation. For thin branches (up to 25 mm), a flail mower is sufficient. For thicker branches, prefer a model with saw blades. The cutting capacity varies depending on the blade extension and the transmission power. It is also essential to check the compatibility with your carrier arm (weight, hydraulic flow, visibility, safety). A poor match can harm the performance and durability of the equipment.
Regular maintenance ensures the performance, safety, and longevity of your saw blade. The saw blades must be sharpened every 30 to 40 hours by a professional, respecting the original profile of the teeth (leading edge, back radius, tooth back). Also remember to consider the sharpening, which prevents the blade from getting stuck in the wood. The knives must be sharpened carefully, without overheating. Finally, regular lubrication of the bearings is essential. Refer to the manual to find out the frequency and type of grease suitable.
It all depends on the type of hedge to maintain. For a hedgerow, prefer a Coup’Eco 500 or 600 blade, equipped with flail plates (replaceable with saw blades): versatile and suitable for large-diameter wood. For an ornamental hedge, choose the synchronous blade 420, which offers a flat and even cut, close to a manual finish thanks to its crossed blade system.
A first pruning at the end of the severe cold period, between January and March, before the beginning of spring, to stimulate the appearance of new shoots.
A second pruning at the end of summer, outside of the intense heat, between August and the end of September. It helps to contain growth and maintain a beautiful shape until winter.
One pruning per year is the minimum to keep a hedge dense and healthy. Depending on the type of hedge (ornamental, hedgerow, evergreen, or fast-growing), a second trimming may be necessary at the end of summer. For example, the thuja may require up to 3 trims between spring and summer, the laurel is generally trimmed 2 times, and the Photinia just after flowering, then in September to stimulate new growth. Regular pruning helps maintain the shape, ensures even regrowth, and prevents overgrowth onto public pathways.
For an efficient, clean, and quick cut, the ideal is to use a Coup’Eco blade suitable for the type of hedge you wish to maintain. We have tools designed for a neat and straight finish, close to a manual cut. For example, blades like the 500 and 600S are more powerful and suitable for hedges in hedgerow areas or more robust ones, to cut branches of larger diameter in a straight line.
The cutting bar (pruner type) works by shearing and is suitable for small-diameter branches. It is precise but can be limited if the branches are poorly oriented or too thick. The cut vegetation can also remain on the hedge.
The disc mower has a wider cutting capacity, allows for automatic debris removal, and offers better job site efficiency. It is ideal for more intensive and faster work.
Start by mounting the cutter bar on a compatible carrier (tractor, flail mower, or hydraulic arm) ensuring that the hydraulic flow and weight are appropriate.
First, trim the sides, then the top, maintaining a steady motion and an appropriate speed for the density of the vegetation.
Make sure to keep the base of the hedge wider than the top to allow light in and prevent it from becoming bare. The Coup’Eco blades ensure a clean cut, without tearing, with a neat finish along the entire length.
It all depends on the diameter of the branches to be cut. For thin branches (up to 25 mm), a flail mower is ideal for regular maintenance. Beyond 25 mm, it is preferable to opt for a blade equipped with saw blades, more suitable for thick wood or denser hedges.
An ecological cut is an intervention that respects the plant and allows it to heal more easily thanks to a clean, precise cut, without tearing or splintering the branch.
This type of intervention limits the risk of infection, improves regrowth, and is part of a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach.

The saw blades must be sharpened every 30 to 40 hours of use, depending on the type of wood being worked on. Sharpening must be done by a professional, using a sharpener capable of restoring the complete profile of each tooth (leading edge, gullet radius, tooth back).
Regular sharpening reduces cutting effort, limits machine wear, and improves both safety and performance. Some sharpeners even offer a collection and home delivery service for blades.
